It is a great video clip. Talk about shmoozing!!
Jeff tells us, he wanted the show to be all about him. Jeff then tells us, they had so many, more attractive offers for the show, but went with Bravo, because he likes them the best. Wow.
And then there is Ryan and Stephen, somehow getting into a discussion about their favorite gay movies. Chris Elwood, just hangs back and takes it in.
I would have to say, I personally, did not see "Flipping Out" as being a reality show, "break through", for the gay community. The show was more about someone who rules the universe at his own whim.
What Is Flipping Out?
It's the craziest, funniest, side-splitter reality show that airs a new episode every Tuesday night, on BRAVO.
Watch Jeff Lewis flip out on his staff and everyone else around him.
The votes are in! It's the wildest roller-coaster ride a reality show has ever had, and Jeff Lewis is derailed.

Jeff Lewis - Amanda Foundation Event - Part2
It's interesting, in that, the cast is nervous about all of us seeing "Flipping Out", when it airs. Jeff is very nervous about how he will be portrayed, and Jenni is too.
Mr. Lewis tries to warn us in advance, that he will be flipping out over things that are out of his control. He tries to back spin how we will see him, before we even see the show.
Jenni, is Jenni. Unlike Jeff, she has nothing to worry about. Jenni shines.
Ryan is funny. He tries to be as diplomatic as he can be, and almost trips over histongue, trying to repaint the dramatic picture, before anyone sees it.
The cast talks about what they want you to get out of the show. They hope you learn a lot about the reality of, "flipping houses".
I hate to rain on their parade, but.. I don't believe very many people tuned in every week to learn how Jeff Lewis flips houses.
I think most of the viewing audience watched "Flipping Out", to see if someone was either going to flip Jeff Lewis into some abyss, or who Jeff was going to fire next.

Jeff Lewis and Crew, At the Amanda Foundation's Fundraising Celebration
The Amanda Foundation, opened it's doors in Los Angeles, in 1976, to homeless animals. It is non-profit and a volunteer run, rescue center, that finds suitable homes for the animals that are running out of time at the city and county animal shelters.
Jeff Lewis is an animal lover, god bless him. He spent about four weeks of his time renovating the exterior of the building that Amanda Foundation uses to house the homeless animals.
These video clips were shot before "Flipping Out" aired on Bravo.
It is nice to see, that everyone in the cast helped out at the Amanda Foundation's event. It also gave them all a chance to talk-up their series, before air time.

Flipping Out - Ryan's new leaky roof
Ryan may have won his bet with Jeff, but all is not well at Ryan's new digs. Beside the fact that a lot of work is still incomplete and in progress, it started to rain and now a leak in the roof has become very apparent.

Flipping Out - Jeff on Stephen
It's difficult at times to understand what goes through Jeff Lewis' head, with regard to his employees. When he gets upset with anyone of them, Jeff is quick to bring out the "You're fired" card and lay it down on the table, usually as a veiled threat.
In Stephen's case, we see Jeff praising his work, one minute, then in the next scene, Jeff is talking to Ryan about getting rid of Stephen. The scene after that, Jeff is telling Jenni, it might be a good idea to back down Stephen's hours, to a couple days a week.
Would you have a sense of "job security", being an employee of Jeff Lewis and company?
Flipping Out - Jenni - Some last moment thoughts on Jeff
Jeff Lewis is incredibly lucky to have Jenni working for him. She is a, dyed in the wool, optimist.
Jenni, believes her boss has grown a lot over the last few weeks. Her take is,"He used to be extremely hard to deal with."
This video clip is a few of Jenni's last thoughts for the seasonal wrap.

Flipping Out - Jeff On Packing For Moving Day
Jeff is always moving from one house, to another; sometimes, it's twice a year.
I have a feeling Mr. Lewis has an open account at the bubble-wrap store. He probably their favorite customer.
Moving day, for anyone, is not easy. Trying to keep track of everything is close to impossible. I am in wonder, at how Mr. Lewis does this ritual two times a year and lives through it.

Flipping Out - Jeff's Advice and Tips to Flippers
Jeff Lewis may be obnoxious and eccentric, but he is also a pretty decent "house flipper".
This is the condensed version, straight from the Flipper's mouth.

Flipping Out - Appreciation Party - Part 3
So, in the end, I think it was a cool party. Good food, good wine, good friends, and some good vibes from Jeff Lewis, something that seemed to be sorely missing through the past episodes.
I am glad the season wrapped itself up on a good note. It was difficult for me at times, to watch Mr. Lewis in action. I had him pegged and made a few assumptions about his character that might not have been, right on the money. I guess, time will tell. There is a season two coming.
Flipping Out - Appreciation Party - Part 1 and 2
The appreciation party, Jeff throws, is mandatory. It did not start out like that, but it seemed everyone had an excuse not to attend, so Jeff got upset with everyone and made it law.
Jeff explains, to the camera, that he has been nasty to everyone and now they don't want to come, when he is trying to make up for it, with this party.
Part 2 of the video is directly below.
Wouldn't it have been cool if Anthony Bourdain catered the food and came in for a quick bite? I wonder if Jeff and Anthony would have hit it off, become best friends. Maybe even, did a spin off show, "Chef and Jeff"?
Did I see tears? Did I actually see some deep felt emotion rolling off of Jeff Lewis? Is this a first?
I think Jeff is trying to score points with God to help him get into heaven, just like he said, earlier in the show.
Part 3, of the party is here.

Flipping Out - Season 1 Finale
It is the last episode of the "Flipping Out" season. A lot has happened.
It seems fitting that, in this last episode, both Ryan is moving and so is Jeff. Two partners, two homes in transition.
In this episode, we get to see a kinder Jeff Lewis. Maybe because, it is the last real episode, and Jeff wants us all to see another side of him.
We do get to see him explain to Jenni, is reasoning for backing Stephen's job down to only a couple of days a week. Jeff's rational for this is, he is doing Stephen a favor.
Didn't we just see Jeff praising Stephen? Jeff couldn't get along without him?
